WQB Mold Removal started the way most good local contracting outfits do: with a small crew that got tired of watching homeowners in Schertz, TX get quoted twice for the same job by companies that vanished halfway through.
We staff our Schertz crews with people who've handled crawl-space colonization, attic condensation mold, and post-flood contamination β not just cosmetic bathroom mildew.
Licensed, insured, and background-checked before they ever knock on your door, our team treats your home like it's the one they'd want worked on.
Ask any Schertz property manager who's dealt with a bad remediation job and they'll tell you the same thing: the difference isn't the chemicals, it's whether the crew actually found and fixed the moisture source instead of just spraying the visible mold and leaving.
Our office staff handle scheduling and billing questions directly, so you're never stuck on hold with an answering service when you have a question about your job.
Not every mold problem announces itself with a visible black patch on the ceiling.
That earthy odor in a closet or crawl space is often the first real clue, long before anything is visible. Our technicians can often narrow down the general location just from where the odor is strongest before ever opening a wall.
DIY drying with a box fan rarely reaches the moisture trapped inside wall cavities and subfloor. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. Air quality testing can confirm or rule out mold as the cause before you spend money chasing the wrong culprit.
Discoloration around an HVAC vent frequently means moisture is condensing inside the ductwork itself. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Schertz crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
When a burst pipe or roof failure floods a Schertz property overnight, our on-call crew can be dispatched before the sun comes up. We also photograph the damage extensively on arrival, which helps considerably if you end up filing an insurance claim afterward.
Bathrooms, basements, attics, and crawl spaces each get treated with methods suited to that specific environment, not a one-size approach. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Schertz tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
Our commercial crews coordinate with property managers on phased containment so parts of the building can stay operational during treatment. Multi-tenant properties in Schertz sometimes need coordinated notice to residents or staff, and our project leads handle that communication directly.
Lab results typically come back within a few business days, giving you documented proof of what was found. We use an independent third-party lab for analysis, which keeps our test results objective rather than tied to whoever's selling you the remediation.
These tight spaces require specialized equipment and technicians trained to work safely in confined areas. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
Sealing, grading corrections, and ventilation upgrades often prevent the exact conditions that caused the original problem. Some Schertz, TX clients set up an annual moisture check with us, especially in older homes with a history of basement dampness.
No surprises, no vague timelines β here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Photos texted ahead of time can help us prep faster.
This step tells us the true scope of contamination before we write a single number on a quote. We point out exactly what we're seeing as we go, not just at the end.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Schertz, TX so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
We hand you lab results and a written scope of work, giving you something concrete beyond our word.
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one β if a Schertz home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Local reputation matters more to a small Schertz-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
We stand behind every remediation job with a written guarantee, not just a handshake, because your peace of mind matters as much as the finished work.

The questions we hear before nearly every job.
Most Schertz calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
Yes β every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Emergency dispatch is available 24/7 for situations where waiting even a day could worsen the damage. Emergency visits include temporary containment to keep the problem from spreading while the full remediation plan is put together.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Some policies cover mold tied to a sudden pipe burst but exclude long-term humidity issues, so it's worth checking your specific policy language. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Schertz claim along faster.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the initial inspection rather than a generic number pulled from a brochure.
For most localized jobs, containment keeps the rest of the home livable, though we may recommend staying elsewhere for extensive whole-house treatment. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
We recommend keeping children and pets away from the containment zone until the area passes clearance testing. HEPA filtration during the job significantly reduces airborne spore counts outside the sealed work area.
Post-remediation testing confirms spore counts returned to normal, and our guarantee covers regrowth tied to our workmanship. If the same conditions caused a prior remediation to fail, we'll flag that risk clearly before starting the new job.
Call +1-844-578-1604 to ask about current inspection options for your Schertz address, as availability can vary by season. Inspection availability sometimes shifts during peak humidity months when call volume runs higher across Schertz, TX.
"Removal" implies eliminating all mold entirely, which isn't realistic since spores exist naturally everywhere, while "remediation" means returning spore levels to a normal, safe range. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
